Vincent left home without a word and boarded a train at twenty-two years old, with the remainder of his family in Alma Vista, California. He didn’t know if he, his six-year old sister, or his three-year old brother would come back alive. The disappearance of his mother and grandmother placed him on the hunt for a possible street address over 3,000 miles away from everything he knew. Joining him in his booth are two strangers: a woman running from the different stories trying to define her direction, and a former refugee from a nation of perpetual genocide. Together, their fates are placed in the hands of their temporary companions on an impossible voyage of survival and love. Within the change of winter to spring, these five individuals will find out what it means to exist in a world all their own, and learn about the true beauty and power of human imagination.
